                     Artist Bio:

P.O.D Ent is a rap group based out of the DMV (DC/MD/VA) that is composed of 4 artists from various places throughout the area. The artists in the group are:

“B.Lavish” born Brandon Ball on June 27^th, 1988 in Washington, DC and raised in southern Maryland. With influences like Bun B of UGK and being a family motivated man not to mention a smooth and direct flow that will surely catch your attention.

“Teddy Brewsky” born Landon Knight on May 19^th, 1989 in Norfolk, VA but was raised all over the DMV mostly Prince Georges County. With influences from all forms of music, his story filled verses, extensive vocabulary laid back voice and aggressive delivery combined with his eclectic style set him apart from other artists in the DMV.

“Smoke Dogg” born Artavius Cox on February 6^th, 1986 in the Northern Neck of Virginia. He is influenced by the likes of Young Dro and Pimp C of UGK. His DMV lifestyle and country roots allow him to have a sound different from any other in the area. He has been emceeing for about 5 years now and proclaims to “bring DMV lingo with a lil’ southern swag.” 

“LaPrece” born Loren Knight on May 20^th, 1987 in Chicago, IL and was also raised throughout the DMV. His love for music was apparent early in his lifetime. He began recording music his freshman year of college shortly after he began DJ’ing and engineering. His heavy use of metaphors keeps ears listening.

P.O.D Ent was formed during the Blizzard of 2010 that hit the entire mid-Atlantic region. Being snowed in the group soon noticed that their styles, ideas, and ears for music meshed so perfectly. As a result they built Pimpin Ave Studios to record their own material with the few funds they had available to them. Since then they have released 3 mixtapes, the debut mixtape entitled Wasted Talent which dropped in May of 2010 which was downloaded over 300 times and sold 1,000 units independently and Back After Deez Commercials which was recently released on October 27^th, 2010. The group recently released their MOST anticipated mixtape entitled "The Hangover" on April 20th, 2011. Which has extremely high expectations, the group is also working on their next project, "Chickz N' Fifthz"  with a projected release date later in the year. They have also been very busy doing footwork and promo. The group has done various showcases, gigs, and open mics from CY Harp’s mixtape release party in Lakewood, OH at Phantasy Niteclub to local DMV clubs such as the Lace Lounge, Sutra Lounge, Queen Makeda, Island Café, Bohemian Caverns,Club Bella, Liv Nightclub and Club Almaz, The Wonderland, The Science Club, Plaza 23, DAHLAK, Everlasting Life Cafe, The Barking Dog, University Of Maryland College Park, George Mason University and also throwing their own styled parties as well  building a solid fan base throughout the DMV. With  absolutely no label backing of any type these young men have built a heavy internet presence via Twitter, Facebook and Youtube which they use to promote their music and gain exposure. The group is also looking into other websites such as WordStarHipHop.com to build more of an online presence. The group has diligence and a work ethic that is sure to take them to the top. P.O.D Ent is a group that truly embraces, captures  and embodies the DMV, its culture, its people and its style.
